Your Branch

The Surrey branch of the CIM has been in operation for over 30 years.  It is reliant on a team of dedicated local members who volunteer their own time to give something back to the local marketing community.

For many years, the branch was part of the Royal Counties focused around Kingston-Upon-Thames.  In 1960 the branch was recognised in its own right as the Kingston Branch meeting in Kingston, Weybridge and Cobham.  It was in 1983 that the branch was renamed the West Surrey branch to meet the needs of a wider membership base.

In 2009, a lack of volunteers threatened the future of the branch.  However, with a few phone calls and a core team of committed individuals in place, the branch was reborn, and subsequently renamed the Surrey branch in recognition that East Surrey was not being represented by any other branch.

We are now looking for more volunteers to join the committee with a specific purpose.  Please see our Current Vacancies for more information.

If the vacanies available don’t suit you, then you are welcome to come along to the networking events to get to know the team and offer help.  We are often looking for members to help with hosting events, or fulfilling our commitments with other local initiatives.
