At CIM Surrey we are keen to support the many women in the marketing sector, and identify that there are a few areas where we may be able to provide additional support.
Female business owners
As a business owner you wear a number of hats from HR to Marketing, so it’s difficult to be an expert in every area. Whether you are a “mumpreneur” or simply decided to work for yourself, if you’ve found that you need to top up your knowledge of marketing techniques you’ll find our regular events really useful for networking with other people in this industry and finding out how to make the most of the latest techniques.
Working towards senior management
We’re very keen to support women aiming to develop into Marketing Directors and senior management, in all industries there are sadly more men in senior posts than women however in the marketing industry we have a real chance of making this a more equal playing field. If you’re keen to develop your career in marketing, you’ll find the mentoring programme we provide a real asset, we also have strong links with the IOD’s new marketing exchange breakfasts where you’ll be able to network with fellow senior executives.
Networking with other women in marketing
We are delighted to have close links with the Surrey Chambers of Commerce Business Women in Surrey group and support many of their events with speakers, so keep an eye on their events.
